보신각 타종행사 어머니와 함께했어요!

안녕하세요,
지난 4월에 어머니와 보신각 타종행사에 참여했던 영국사는 교민입니다.
외국생활을 오래 하면서, 특히나 문화부문에 대해서 전공을 하고나니,
한국의 전통 문화에 대해서 너무도 많은 부분을 모르고, 경험해 보지 못했다는 생각을 했었습니다.
어머니와 특별한 추억을 만들고 싶어서 우연히 홈페이지를 보고 신청했는데,
체험할 수 있는 기회를 갖게 되어서 정말 감사하고 값진 시간들이었습니다.
꼼꼼히 설명해 주시던 신팀장님(?), 열정적인 설명 감사했고, 지루하지 않게 중간중간 퀴즈도 내주시고
잼있었습니다. 더 많은 분들이 참여하실 줄 알았는데, 신청자가 없어서 왠지 아쉬운 마음이 들었고,
다음번에 제 외국인 친구들이 한국에 놀러오면 다시 신청해서 좋은 경험하게 해주고 싶습니다.
아마도 한국에서 이런걸 할 수 있다는것에 너무 놀랄 것 같네요.
그때 언뜻 말씀 드렸는데, 제가 살고있는 영국에서도 홍보 많이 하겠습니다.
혹시나, 홈페이지에 들어오실 외국인을 위해서 짧은 영어 메세지도 남기겠습니다.

Hello everyone,
Last April I had a wonderful time with my mom to participate in ' Tolling the BOSINGAK bell event'.
As I have lived abroad about 10 years, and working in cultural sector, I realized it is truthfully difficult to find A book about introducing the 'real' Korean culture. If you are going to explore Korea, I would recommend you to join in those hands-on programme. Korea is not only a country for high technology. Korea has beautiful nature, tasty food and unique culture.
I remember watching mayor of Seoul or president of Korea trolling the BOSINGAK bell when it comes to new year. Traditionally Koreans are praying while the bell rings. This will be a great and unique experience within your staying Korea.
I strongly recommend to  experience it, I hope BOSINGAK bell will help all your wishes come true.
